Your Surf Camp in Taghazout Bay, Morocco

Taghazout is the surf capital of Morocco: a fishing village on the Atlantic with right-hand point breaks, gentle beach breaks and waves almost every day of the year. Twist Surf is a small, friendly surf camp in Taghazout Bay where you can learn to surf, get better fast and switch off completely.

Our team has more than 15 years of experience surfing this coast. Every morning we pick the spot that suits your level and the conditions, then we come back to home-cooked Moroccan food, a swimming pool and a panoramic terrace for sunset.

Two-hour sessions with qualified instructors. Beginners start on sandy beach breaks; improvers move on to the points as they progress.

Do I need any surfing experience?

No. Most of our guests are beginners or improvers. Your instructor chooses gentle beach breaks for your first sessions and moves you to bigger waves only when you are ready. Surf & Stay and Classic are the exceptions: they have no lessons and are made for surfers who already ride on their own.

What is included at our surf camp in Taghazout?

Every package includes your accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and board and wetsuit rental. Depending on the package you also get daily two-hour surf lessons, transfers to the surf spots, an airport pick-up, yoga classes and excursions. Each package page lists exactly what is included.

When is the best time to surf in Taghazout?

There are waves all year. From October to April the Atlantic sends the biggest, most consistent swells and the famous point breaks come alive. From May to September the waves are smaller and the water is warmer, which is ideal for beginners.

How do I get from Agadir airport to Taghazout?

Taghazout is about 45 minutes by car from Agadir Al Massira airport. Most of our packages include a pick-up at the airport or Agadir bus station, and we can arrange a transfer for the other packages.

Can I come on my own?

Yes, many of our guests travel solo. You share lessons, meals and trips with the group, so it is easy to meet people, and you can choose a shared room or pay extra for a private double room.

Do you offer family surf holidays?

Yes. Our Family package is a full week for up to five people (two adults and up to three children under 14), with lessons adapted to each age, a BBQ night and family excursions.

How cold is the water?

The Atlantic here is around 17°C in winter and about 21–22°C at the end of summer. A wetsuit is included in every package, so you will be comfortable in the water all year.

How does booking work?

Choose a package, fill in the booking form and pay a 15% deposit online with PayPal. We confirm by email, and you pay the rest when you arrive at the camp.
