A Family Surf Camp in Morocco for Parents and Kids
Our family surf camp in Taghazout is a full surf week for up to five people, two adults and up to three children under 14, for one price of €1999. Everyone surfs, everyone eats well and nobody has to organise a thing, so the trip feels like a real holiday for the parents too.
You stay seven nights in your own family room with five beds, surf two hours a day for seven days with instructors who adapt every session to each age and level, and share breakfast and dinner at the camp, a packed lunch on the beach on surf days, and a BBQ night during the week.

How Surf Lessons Work for Kids and Parents
Children and adults rarely learn at the same speed, so our instructors split the family by level when they need to and bring everyone back together in the water. Lessons take place on sandy beach breaks such as the beaches of Tamraght or Banana Beach near Aourir, where the waves break gently and the water is shallow enough to stand in. The spot is chosen every morning according to the swell, the wind and the tide.
Kids need to be comfortable in the water, and we ask for their ages and swimming level when you book so we can plan their sessions. Nobody is forced to surf: a parent can swap a session for the beach, the pool or a yoga class at any time.
A Typical Day at Our Family Surf Camp
Mornings start with breakfast on the terrace and a first look at the waves. The family heads to the beach of the day for the two-hour lesson, timed around the tide, then has a packed lunch on the sand. Afterwards everyone can keep playing and free surfing in the waves, supervised by our instructors, until we head back to the camp at around 3 pm for a lazy afternoon by the pool. On yoga days the parents stretch out tired shoulders and hips, and the day ends with dinner together as the sun sets over the bay.
Where Your Family Stays
Our surf house sits in Taghazout Bay, between the villages of Aourir and Tamraght, about 45 minutes from Agadir airport. You come back from the waves to a swimming pool, a panoramic terrace over the bay, a restaurant where every meal is served and free WiFi throughout.
Your family has its own room with five beds, included in the price. If you want more space, you can upgrade to an apartment for €45 per night: it has two bedrooms, a private room with a double bed or twin beds and a room with three beds. The apartment is subject to availability, and we confirm it by email.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are home-cooked Moroccan and international dishes. In the booking form you can tell us how many people in your group are vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free or lactose-free, so the kitchen can plan for you.
Prices, Extras and Booking
The family surf camp costs €1999 for the whole family for seven nights. These extras are optional and can be added in the booking form:
- Apartment instead of the family room: €45 per night
- Drop-off at Agadir airport or bus station on your last day: €30
- Board and wetsuit insurance: €25 per person for the whole stay
- Special diets for any number of people in your group, at no extra cost
Booking takes four short steps online. You only pay a 15% deposit on the trip, plus the tourist tax of €12 per person, securely with PayPal; the rest is paid when you arrive at the camp. The price updates live as you choose rooms and extras, so you always see what you will pay.
When to Book a Family Surf Holiday in Morocco
You can surf in Taghazout all year, but for families the best months are usually May to October. The waves are smaller and friendlier, the water is warmest in summer at around 21 to 22°C, and the days are long and sunny. If you travel in the school holidays, book early to be sure of your dates.

How much does the family surf camp cost?
€1999 for seven nights for up to five people: two adults and up to three children under 14. It includes the lessons, all meals, the family room, yoga for the parents and the trips. You pay a 15% deposit online and the rest when you arrive.
Can young children take surf lessons at the family surf camp?
Lessons are adapted to each child, and they need to be comfortable in the water. Tell us your children's ages and swimming level when you book, and we will plan their sessions to suit them.
Is the airport transfer included?
Yes, one transfer is included: the pick-up at Agadir airport or bus station when you arrive. If you also want us to take you back on your last day, add the drop-off in the booking form for €30.
Do the parents have to surf?
No. Lessons are included for everyone, but you can swap a session for time on the beach, in the pool or at yoga whenever you like.
